Where is the Yarra Valley?

The stunning Yarra Valley region is approximately an hour’s drive east of Melbourne, Victoria, centred around the famous Yarra River. Agriculture is a huge part of the region, with grape production abundant.

How to get there

Once you’re in Melbourne, you can easily find your way to the Yarra Valley by hiring a car or by catching public transport. (The PTV Planner is fantastic for working out your fares and journey time.)

Alternatively, a service like Hop It can get you there easily. Either board the shuttle in Melbourne’s CBD or make your own way to the Yarra Valley and use the service to “hop” between wineries. Perhaps lunch at one and dessert at the next?
