El Toro Coconut Tequila is here, serving up summer vibes with the perfect blend of bold tequila and smooth, creamy coconut.

A new twist on tequila

Tequila has been having a real moment in Australia, especially with the steady flow of celebrity alcohol brands arriving on our shores.

We’re now the fourth-largest tequila market in the world by revenue, with growth expected to keep climbing well into 2025. Riding that wave of agave love, El Toro has just unveiled its latest creation: El Toro Coconut Tequila.

The summer-infused new blend has El Toro Clásico at its base, making it highly versatile for anyone looking to put a new spin on their favourite tequila-based sips.

Why coconut?

It’s no secret Australians are big fans of coconut flavours, and pairing it with tequila feels like a natural match. And while coconut spirits have largely sat with rum and vodka until this point, this new pairing gives tequila its turn in the spotlight.

“Australians already love coconut flavours; pairing that familiarity with tequila gives venues and bottleshops a fresh, premium option that works neat, over ice or mixed.”

Versatile and vibrant

Whether you’re shaking up a Coconut Margarita, giving a Piña Colada a tequila twist or keeping it simple with soda or pineapple juice, El Toro Tequila Coconut is designed to shine. Its flavour profile leans tropical and creamy, with smooth agave, toasted coconut and just enough citrus to keep things fresh.

  • Aroma: creamy, tropical, toasted
  • Palate: bold agave balanced with velvety coconut, citrus lift and gentle warmth

The margarita of your dreams

If your summer isn’t complete without a margarita (and a beach view, let’s face it), El Toro Tequila Coconut is the answer to a sip to savour.

The Creamy Coconut Margarita is the brainchild of El Toro itself and uses coconut cream, lime juice, pineapple juice, sugar syrup and El Toro Tequila Coconut. Topped with a lime wheel and some toasted coconut shavings, it’s almost guaranteed to impress your besties this season.

  • This sounds like a lush tequila, and just in time for the warm weather we’re having! The creamy coconut marg would be the perfect summer sip. Coconut and pineapple are such a classic flavour combination. The bottle is really nice, too. Something you’d be happy to have out on display or take over. Going to have to get one

  • You had me at coconut. I love most things that include coconut, although I am yet to try tequila with a coconut flavouring. It does sound delicious and very inviting, the aroma of creamy and tropical in summer sounds divine. The price looks very reasonable for the size bottle too which is great as it makes it affordable for many.

  • So true! I don’t even like coconut but give me something coconut flavoured and I’m there! This bottle looks gorgeous! I can definitely see it as a good quality product and I would love to have try it! I love pineapple juice flavours in summer and can see this fitting in perfectly

  • I feel like this would be an incredible tequila for many different cocktails. The coconut and citrus lift sounds like a perfect combination. I can see now we are heading into the warmer Australian months, mixing these up to sip by the pool would be amazing. A great tropical holiday in a glass

  • Back in the day Tequila was my drink of choice and this takes me back. Having a Coconut flavoured Tequlia is definitely a new spin on it and be nice to try. I think wit Soda water and lime juice to keep it really summery and refreshing would be the go for me.

  • Ooooh this one looks like a great one to add to the bar! Gosh i never would have guessed Australia was #4 on being top tequila market in the world. I would have guessed other countries before Australia. The coconut pairing in this sounds divine and would make a great balance between the two flavours.
