With a twist that’s redefining a popular sip, one Australian vodka has just been crowned the Most Innovative Spirit on the global stage.

Uniquely, Never Never crafts its Signature Vodka from premium Australian wheat spirit and enriches it with distilled olive, coconut and avocado oils.

The result is a smooth, ultra-textured vodka with subtle notes of olive, white chocolate, honeyed macadamia and coconut cream. And it’s that balance of sweet and savoury that makes it perfect for martinis and highballs alike.

“At Never Never, we have always aimed to innovate regardless of the product we are making. We built a textural vodka using the techniques learned over eight years of building incredible flavour in gin.”

Designed for flavour and texture

According to Tim, creating an authentic premium vodka here in Australia is no easy task.

“… we can’t rely on Eastern European distilling heritage, Russian winter wheat or Polish potato. We don’t have Icelandic glacial water or French Appellation. What we do have is a very good understanding of how to build texture and flavour, so we leaned on that skillset to build a premium product.”

The Never Never team selected the three distilled oils for their ability to add texture without overpowering the palate.

They draw the water from the same McLaren Vale source used in their gin and add natural salts to enhance the mouthfeel and lift the pH. They also filter the neutral spirit through activated carbon for 16 hours to strip out any unwanted flavours before blending in the final oil distillates.

The result is a vodka that’s ultra smooth with the perfect texture and mouthfeel for a range of cocktails and mixed drinks.

Already shaking up Australia’s best bars

Since its release last month, Never Never Signature Vodka has landed in top venues nationwide.

Melbourne’s award-winning cocktail bar Byrdi uses Signature Vodka as its house martini. In Sydney, Tailor Room in the Rocks have just launched their ‘Satin’ cocktail featuring Signature Vodka.

And over in Never Never’s hometown of Adelaide, Hi-Fi bar Honeydripper shakes up Signature Vodka with a tsukemono of pickled cucumber and karkalla. They top it with smoked caperberries and serve it freezer cold.

  • That sounds really nice! I am very keen to try it- don’t suppose there might be a review for this? Wink, wink, nudge, nudge. I am a pretty keen vodka drinker and prefer it to most other mediums for making cocktails. I do like a smoother drink that doesn’t have a strong boozy flavour.

  • Ohhh this sounds so interesting! I have never heard of a vodka that is distilled with olive, coconut and avocado oils, I feel like that would create a nice smoothness to the alcohol and make it really nice to use in summer cocktails and cocktail slushies! The name and bottle is super fun and cute too!

  • I love the name! I would firstly love to try it on its own, on ice, to really embrace the flavour, smell and taste. I’m not a vodka drinker so I’d really need to do some research to see what it could be used with. The overall flavour sounds very intricate.

  • Verryyyyy interesting! Lots of different flavour notes going into this vodka that makes my brain think, surely it cant work altogether. But then also makes me curious enough to want to try it for myself, knowing it’s already hitting top bars! The packaging and colours on this is also gorgeous too

  • My favourite mix with vodka has got to be a nice lemon squash. There’s nothing nicer on a hot summers day to refresh or with a barbecue. This vodka sounds like a great brand and I will keep my eye out for it when I’m next due for a repurchase
