If your idea of a fabulous cocktail involves the rich goodness of chocolate liqueur and warm notes of whisky, the Theobroma Cocktail should be the next sip on your list.

Inspired by the evergreen cacao tree, the Theobroma Cocktail features Glen Moray Sherry Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky as its hero ingredient. Enhanced with the sweetness of vermouth, a dash of Frangelico hazelnut liqueur and the decadence of chocolate liqueur, it’s a drink that’s both indulgence and elegant.

Whether you’re on the hunt for the ultimate dessert cocktail or love to dabble in mixology, the Theobroma is a cinch to make and heaven to sip. It’s a drink that lets every element shine and gets guests talking.

  • I have never tried a Theobroma Cocktail before but I love the sound of all the ingredients! I love the combo of smokey whiskey with sweet creamy chocolate and hazelnut. The lemon twist is a unique addition too, I wonder how this acidic addition would pair with the other ingredients

  • This sounds like the perfect drink for a cold winter’s nightcap. I love the combination of flavours and they would be so smooth and soothing. I have bookmarked this recipe.

  • Whisky has never been a drink of choice as I find it very strong tasting but I am sure if I tried a few I might find one more to my liking as there are so many different flavours and strengths of whiskey available these days. It is amazing how much choice there is to choose from.

  • Frangelico has such a subtle delicate hazelnut flavour. I’m wondering if it can be tasted above the other flavours.

  • The Theobroma Cocktail sounds intriguing! As a whisky lover, you might really appreciate the rich flavors and complexity it offers. It’s often a delightful blend that can elevate the whisky experience, especially if it includes elements like chocolate or spices. The combination of whisky with unique ingredients can create a cozy and indulgent drink, perfect for sipping while enjoying a holiday movie marathon.

  • I’m fairly new to drinking whiskey but I really like it. Glen Moray Sherry Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky sounds fantastic but I probably wouldn’t like it with the chocolate liqueur. I recently tried chocolate liqueur and it honestly tasted really bad and way too sweet for my tastes. But the whiskey sounds great!

  • I’m really curious on what the other flavour varieties are. This is a really nice looking range. I made a very similar cocktail to share with a family member over Christmas with the options they had stashed away in the pantry and it was really nice. No vermouth though, that would absolutely make the drink.

  • The Theobroma Cocktail sounds delicious! I love a nice creamy hazelnut based whiskey cocktail there’s something so festive about it. Interesting to see the addition of some bitters and a zesty lemon garnish, seems little unusual but I feel like it would work really well. Thanks for sharing this article

  • This looks so good. I need a well stocked bar so I can make these cocktails and experiment with flavours.

  • The Glen Moray Scotch sounds amazing and the chocolate aspect is something that I would never have ever thought to pair together. I love a single malt though. I wouldn’t mind giving this cocktail a go as I’m trying to get away from mixers like coke and lemonade as they are just so basic.

  • This Theobroma Cocktail sounds very exotic and I imagine a very smooth drink, full of flavour, with those added liqueurs. Glen Moray have always been a stand out on the market and a name I think we all know. It looks like they have quite a range available out there.

  • The Theobroma Cocktail sounds delightful! I love a nice rich chocolate based creamy drink! There’s something so indulgent about combining alcohol, hazelnut and chocolate together. I am interested to see how the dash of Bitters and the garnish of a lemon twist compliments this flavour profile. Thank you for sharing this scotch cocktail recipe.

  • The only cocktail ive ever known and tasted mixed with whiskey is a whiskey sour. Which has to be in my top 5 when done right. To see a new recipe here, it’s got me interested and keen to try it! I love discovering all the different products and ideas on best sips.

  • Oh my goodness the Theobroma looks divine! What a striking colour, I’ve never seen such a lovely looking whiskey drink. The flavours that are happening in this glass sound lovely, Frangelico is always in our pantry for a cheeky cocktail moment. This looks like one that all the guys would get into at Chrissy, as well.
