Summery and sweet with just a touch of tang, Bundaberg Pineapple Rum is here to put a tropical spin on your favourite sips.

But what exactly does pineapple-infused rum lend itself to? We’re going to show you some of our favourite ideas, but first, let’s take a closer look at this new spirit from one of the world’s most famous rum companies.

What is Bundaberg Sunny Rum Pineapple?

Bundaberg Sunny Rum Series Pineapple is the latest addition to a world-renowned lineup of original, flavoured and premixed rum drinks.

Described by the brand as “tangy-sweet with just a hint of spice,” it’s double-distilled in white oak and blended with fresh all-natural Australian flavours that scream summer living.

Just as suitable for combining with mixers as it is over ice, it’s a great addition to home bars that lean towards all things tropical.

6 Bundaberg Pineapple Rum Cocktail Ideas

Pop on your sunnies and prep the cocktail umbrellas. These sips are 100% pure summer.

The classic mojito uses white rum, you can very easily switch it out for pineapple-flavoured rum for a fruitier twist.

  • Ingredients: Pineapple Rum, lime juice, sugar syrup, soda water, mint leaves

Piña Colada (Pineapple Edition)

Because what could be better than even more pineapple in your favourite holiday sip?

  • Ingredients: Pineapple Rum, pineapple juice, coconut cream and crushed ice.

Pineapple Daiquiri

While daiquiris often use lime juice, you could easily swap it out for pineapple juice if you prefer a sweeter cocktail.

  • Ingredients: Pineapple Rum, lime juice and sugar syrup.

Tropical Dark & Stormy

The original Dark & Storm uses classic dark rum, but this iteration swaps it out for pineapple for a zestier and summer-infused cocktail.

  • Ingredients: Pineapple Rum, ginger beer or ginger ale and a fresh lime wedge.

Pineapple Fizz

For maximum pineapple flavour, try mixing pineapple rum with pineapple Fanta. Sweet tooths only!

  • Ingredients: Pineapple Rum, pineapple Fanta and loads of crushed ice.

Frozen Pineapple & Coconut Cocktail

If you don’t mind a little pre-preparation and have a stick blender on hand, a frozen cocktail is a creative way to enjoy the flavours of pineapple rum.

  • Ingredients: Pineapple Rum, frozen pineapple chunks, pineapple juice, lime juice, coconut cream and plenty of ice.

Other options …

Many Bundy fans have mentioned enjoying this new drop straight up over ice. Simple, easy and quick.

And if you’d rather ‘eat’ your pineapple-flavoured rum, one fan shared on Bundaberg’s Instagram account that he uses the limited-edition rum to pre-soak the pineapple pieces in his upside-down cake. Now that’s creative.

  • Ohhhh I absolutely love the sound of this!! I’ve had the most lovely QLD pineapples lately, so hopefully they have sourced them locally. The Hawaiian mimosa sounds lush, as does the daiquiri. Oops, yet another reason to get a Ninja Slushi machine haha. The price of the bottle is also very reasonable, under $60.

  • I would be excited to give this a try! I don’t normally like Bundaberg Rum as I prefer the milder taste of Malibu, but I must admit this new pineapple flavour does put a new spin on things. I can literally make all of my favourite cocktails with this. So long as it doesn’t taste too strong, could be on to a winner!

  • I Love rum and Bundy is my favourite one. This sounds great with a mixer on ice! It’s a nice change from the standard although that will always be my favourite I think. I am still very keen to give this a go, especially when it’s a limited time only thing.

  • I’m not the biggest Rum fan but this sound delicious! I could see me drinking this with lemonade over ice in the summer. Sounds very tropical and refreshing. I’m glad Bundaberg is doing things to update their brand a little more. It’s a great brand and should have many more options.
