    Lobster Reef Lemon Pinot Gris is a fantastic light wine that has a subtle hit of fresh lemon. It is refreshing and crisp and Easy to drink. The lemon and citrus is a great touch adding freshness to the drink, it is not overpowering. I really enjoyed the freshness and it paired with while out for Chinese with prawn cutlets.

    A Delightful Drop of Lobster Reef Grapefruit Rosé

    I really enjoyed the Lobster Reef Grapefruit Rosé.
    It’s light, refreshing & easy to drink.
    The subtle grapefruit flavour adds a lovely citrus twist that makes it a little different to the average Rosé without it being too sweet or overpowering.
    It would be perfect by the pool on a hot day or entertaining with some yummy charcuterie boards.
    I’ll definitely be buying a few more bottles to have on hand for some upcoming events.

    Perfect balance after a busy week

    What a perfect blend between lemon and the traditional taste of a Sauvignon Blanc. I enjoyed the freshness and crispness of The Lobster Reef Lemon Sauvignon Blanc.     A smooth classic sauvignon blanc flavour with a lemon twist!

    The perfect entertaining wine. In the words of my husband: “wow this is so easy to drink, its so smooth”. A great intro for those not super into wine, but enjoyable for wine-lovers too! Its the perfect balance of citrusy but still that classic sauvignon blanc flavour. Definitely will be drinking this again!

    Refreshing Twist on a Classic Pinot Gris

    I tried the Lobster Reef Lemon Pinot Gris and really enjoyed it. The lemon infusion adds a refreshing citrus zing that complements the Pinot Gris beautifully without overpowering it. It’s crisp, light and incredibly easy to drink.

    What I liked most was that it still maintained the characteristics of a quality Pinot Gris while offering something a little different and fun. The citrus notes made it feel fresh and vibrant, especially served chilled.

    Full flavour

    A real winner

    This wine tasted absolutely delicious, it was very easy to drink with a fresh, crisp flavour. There was not a strong lemon taste it really complemented the wine. I would recommend for entertaining with friends or even just having a glass at home. My husband really enjoyed it as well.

    Summer in a glass!

    I was pleasantly surprised by this rose! I wasn’t sure about the grapefruit flavour but after trying it think the grapefruit works perfectly with the rose! It’s light, crisp and refreshing and the perfect drink for a hot summers day! It’s very easy to drink and I’d definitely buy it again.

    Light and refreshing - loved the lemony hints too!

    Absolutely loved this! It’s a nice light savvy b, has good flavours and I think caters to most white wine drinkers tastes! Pleasantly surprised and will buy again! My partner and I usually enjoy drinking Pinot Grigio but this has opened our minds to Sauvignon Blanc again – if you’re looking for a fresh flavour that doesn’t have too punchy an aftertaste then you’ll like this one!

    Tasty citrus Pinot Gris

    I’m usually a red wine kinda girl but was lucky enough to try Lobster Reef lemon Pinot Gris. To my surprise I found it flavoursome and easy to drink. Just the right amount of lemon (I love citrus so may be too strong for some). I reckon on a warm day this would go down a treat. I will definitely try again on the warmer months.

    Slight sweetness for the Pinot Gris

    The subtle taste of the lemon comes through lightly, slightly sweet with a dry finish makes this wine a lovely sip. Recommend to be drunk very cold for the full flavour as this brought out the freshness for me personally. Would recommend and will purchase again, lovely wine for the Summer and Spring.

    A beautiful summer wine!

    A really delightful and refreshing wine. Provides a certain sweetness without being overly sweet. The grapefruit flavor is soft and delicate but a noticeable change form a traditional rose.     Not for me, maybe for others!

    I’m a Pinot Gris gal through and through, and was super excited to try Lobster Reefs Lemon Pinot Gris, however unfortunately I wasn’t super fond of it… the drink itself tastes crisp and sharp, however I felt it was lacking lemon flavour. I’d probably give it another go but maybe squeeze in some extra lemon! Aesthetically, I love the design of the bottle, the yellow colour is cute and bright and it was eye catching in the bottle shop and easy to find!

    Crisp and delightful

    I normally drink Moscato, which is very sweet and very easy to drink, and thus I wasn’t sure what to expect with this Sauvignon Blanc but I really enjoyed it! I liked the mild lemony taste and I I loved the smoothness of this drop. I’ve already bought the grapefuit flavour and will be trying that tonight along with the barramundi that I’m planning to cook.

    Not for me, but likely for others!

    I’m a Pinos Gris girl through and through and was super excited to taste Lobster Reef’s Lemon Pinot Gris, however unfortunately I wasn’t fond of the taste… I will say it was sharp and crisp which was nice, however unfortunately I feel it lacked the ‘lemon’ flavour, I really like the taste of lemons and it wasn’t strong enough for me, it doesn’t need to be overpowering, however I felt it was minimal. I’d be keen to give it another try maybe come Spring or Summer, when the weathers a bit warmer, maybe I’d add some extra lemon! I still would recommend that people give it a go though, because it honestly might suit their taste. Aesthetically, I did like the design of the bottle, the yellow really stood out, made it easy to find in the bottle shop and was super appealing!

    Fresh and easy to drink

    Very fresh and easy to drink, definitely on the sweeter side. Very good on it own or if you are going to have it with food I think it would pair well with light and fresh food like a salad guacamole maybe some sushi.     Not a bad drop

    Missed the Mark

    I absolutely love Lobster Reef’s standard Sauvignon Blanc so I was super excited to try the Lemon variation but unfortunately I was not overly impressed with the offering. I found the lemon flavour to be overwhelming and it seemed like more an artifical lemon flavour, rather than a squeeze of fresh lemon juice which is what I had envisaged. We had it with a spicy ramen, and it paired well enough but it wasn’t a wine that I truly loved drinking on its own.

    Fruitier than ever expected!

    The Lobster Reef Lemon Sauvignon blanc is explosive with it’s promised flavours of lemon but unexpectedly harbours undertones of the tropics. A passionfruit like aroma masters the essential aftertaste making it easy to drink, and to keep drinking. I found the robustness of this white to be almost overpowering. But pairing with the right foods, like a sturdy cheddar and cranberry crackers made it’s a beautiful alteration between sweet and savoury on my palate. I could imagine it pairs well with a seafood meal also.
    I enjoyed it and recommend it to wine lovers with a preference for sweetness.

    Lemon flavour dominates the dry wine

    This wine is a good pinot gris but with added lemon flavour. It was a little to tart and dry for my usual tastes (I’m normally a sweet wine drinker). It was, however, quite refreshing and I could see it going down very well for people with drier tastes. For me, the lemon was quite overpowering, and I struggled to finish a whole glass.

    Pleasantly surprised

    I am indeed very naive and I legitimately had NO IDEA what Pinot Gris actually was, nor what it tasted like. My husband is not usually a big wine drinker but said “crack ‘er open, I’ll give her a try,but I don’t want a full glass” So, I indeed did, crack “er open. He proceeded to take a sip and said “although, maybe I DO want a full glass!” Well. Needless to say I haven’t seen him have a sip of wine (particularly white) that surprised him, in a good way. It had a clean, crisp finish, I wouldn’t say I got much of a “lemon” taste but it certainly pairs well with meals, I’d say particularly fish. It’s a solid all round “white” to pull out I’d say. I think it would please any dry white wine drinkers. And perhaps even a few sceptics!

    Alright all-rounder

    This particular flavour of wine wasn’t my favourite but it also wasn’t too bad. It was quite a dry rose but the grapefruit flavour didn’t shine through much at all. Overall it is a fine wine. The bottle is pretty, it’s reasonably priced, it tastes alright but I think I’d just stick to their regular rose rather than the grapefruit flavoured one

    Very sweet

    This was a little too sweet for me, but I ended up adding some ice and soda water and it became a very refreshing spritz. I would drink it as a spritz again but wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it again. I can’t say I’d drink it on its own and I would also struggle to find a friend or family member that would enjoy it on its own too.

    A summer style Sav

    I was interested to try this wine as I love a Marlborough Sav but wasn’t sure how the lemon would pair with it.     Delicious wine with a hint of lemon

    Had the pleasure of testing Lobster Reef, Lemon Pinot Gris. The first initial sip left me feeling quite unsure on if i would enjoy it or not as i felt the lemon flavour was a bit strong, however by the time i was a few sips in, it was quite enjoyable.     This bottle of Lobster Reef Grapefruit Rose is absolutely refreshing and an easy-to-sip wine. It has hints of citrus and strawberry. It is a gorgeous color and pairs amazingly with a cheese platter.
    Don’t go past this in the aisle at your bottle-o. DO yourself a favour and try it! Would definitely recommend!

  • Lobster Reef Lemon Sauvignon Blanc Review

    Perfect with friends

    I recently got the opportunity to try the Lobster Reef Lemon wine and it was absolutely delicious. I shared it with a girlfriend of mine and we nearly finished the whole bottle.
    I typically prefer red wine over white, but the subtle lemon zest was the perfect complement and a whole new experience for me. I would 100% pick this wine up again to share with friends.

    I have yet to try the grapefruit or the Pino, but they are definitely on my list. I really enjoyed the hint of lemon, and I felt it was slightly sweeter but not Moscato sweet. I’m no wine connoisseur and usually pick wines at random, so it’s nice to have found one that I know I enjoy.

    So delish

    I’m a sweet rose drinker so when I saw this one was less dry on the taste, I was very keen to try (and curious about the wine brand name). First impressions are refreshing, fruity and bright with fragrant linger of grapefruit. It’s not sweet but it’s definitely easy drinking. Great both room temp and cold/with ice.

    A smooth classic sauvignon blanc flavour with a lemon twist!

    The perfect entertaining wine. In the words of my husband: “wow this is so easy to drink, its so smooth”. A great intro for those not super into wine, but enjoyable for wine-lovers too! Its the perfect balance of citrusy but still that classic sauvignon blanc flavour. Definitely will be drinking this again!

    I found this rose to be nice and refreshing. It’s a lovely colour and is easy to drink. I was a little disappointed that the grapefruit flavour wasn’t very strong – it would’ve been even better with more of the citrusy flavours evident. Overall a great find, refreshing and goes down well.

    I tried the Lobster Reef Lemon Pinot Gris and really enjoyed it. The lemon infusion adds a refreshing citrus zing that complements the Pinot Gris beautifully without overpowering it. It’s crisp, light and incredibly easy to drink.

    What I liked most was that it still maintained the characteristics of a quality Pinot Gris while offering something a little different and fun. The citrus notes made it feel fresh and vibrant, especially served chilled.

    It paired perfectly with seafood and would also be lovely with light lunches, salads or enjoyed on its own with friends. A great option if you’re looking for a refreshing wine with a unique twist. I’d happily buy it again.

    Love the Grapefruit flavour

    I was really intrigued when I saw the opportunity to review a Rosé with grapefruit flavour. I took it along to a dinner party with some wine enthusiasts to get their take on it as well. Overall it got great feedback, we enjoyed the grapefruit undertones as it provided a bitterness that was appreciated by the non-rosé drinkers. For those with a more sophisticated palette, we could taste a hint of strawberry too. It had a very smooth flavour and was very drinkable. Thoroughly enjoyed drinking this and would buy again!

    Refreshing, easy to drink wine

    The Lobster Reef Lemon Pinot Gris is dangerously good! It would be easy to finish the whole bottle by myself as it’s such a smooth, easy drinking wine. I enjoyed the lemon infused flavour. You will definitely need a few of these bottles if you plan on sharing them with your friends!

    Refreshing, light and easy to drink

    As someone who initially judges a rose by it’s colour, this one was off to a great start. Quite fresh on the nose, it was a light and refreshing drop with hints of berry and a slightly zingy aftertaste. Mild flavours, nothing too strong, the kind of drink that wouldn’t be out of place around a pool on a hot summers day.

    Refreshing and Zesty

    I wasn’t sure what to expect of the lemon twist in a sauv blanc. It gave a sweetness I wasn’t expecting, that made it particularly easy to drink. Very refreshing, would pair well with seafood or lite chicken dishes. I would say if you err towards dry white it may not be for you.

    Unique Flavour, Refreshing with a Twist!

    This wine was not something I’d typically buy, however, I wanted to step outside my comfort zone to experiment, and I’m glad I did!     Love the flavours!

    This wine was an incredible drink to have with dinner, I found that it was light and fruity and it wasn’t heavy on the stomach. The fruity flavours were delicious and made the drink very refreshing. The mix of the grapefruit was so delicious and I would absolutely buy it again

    Sweet, light and fruity

    This is an easy drink, quite sweet but not too overpowering. The grapefruit flavour is bold but not too overpowering leaving enough for your tastebuds to want more. One of those drinks that you can rely on in a group setting to not miss the mark. New Zealand and lobster reef sure do know what they are doing here!
