This range features two food-friendly favourites. TAMALA Cabernet Merlot is a smooth, balanced blend where Merlot complements Cabernet’s intensity, showcasing bright plum and toasted oak notes.     The perfect smooth red for easy dining!

    I recently tried the TAMALA Shiraz and absolutely loved it! It’s incredibly smooth, easy to drink, and has that perfect balance without feeling too heavy. I paired it with a homemade tuna pasta dish and the two went together beautifully. Definitely one I’d recommend trying!

    Bold and elegant and nice spices

    Very smooth bold and elegant, combining rich dark fruit flavours like blackberry, blackcurrant
    and plum with peppery spice and silky tannins. Very pleasant to drink!

    Lovely tasting wine

    It is a dry but very drinkable wine. It was full bodied and has a nice taste. It’s not sour like some wines. I had my wine with pizza and it was delicious. The price is affordable and conveniently available at Dan Murphy’s – as they have many locations. I will be purchasing this wine again on the future. Thankyou for my sample.

    So Good I Shall Purchase Another!

    I was first drawn to this brand for a few reasons: the wine collection is the same as mine (Tam), Cape Mentelle make some of Australia’s best reds and whites, and the label is just so pretty. At first crack of the lid and first pour, Tamala was a beautiful bouquet of scents and rich red flavours. It is fruity and medium dry – just right really. It is very easy to drink on its own or with a range of different dishes but ofcourse goes down so well on a cool winters day or night. I really enjoyed this and look forward to picking up a few more.

    Great value Shiraz

    This was a really nice Shiraz enjoyed with both steak and a cheese platter. It was really smooth on the palette with rich berry flavours that come through and a slight spice towards the end. What made this enjoyable was that it didn’t leave that dry feeling a lot of other reds have. Easy enough to drink, even for those who aren’t everyday red wine drinkers. For the price point, I really enjoyed this easy drinking Shiraz. It makes for a great everyday wine without breaking the bank.

    Fantastically flavoured and easy drinking

    I loved this wine, I usually drink Cab Sav and this was a slightly smoother version of my favourite wines. Slightly acidic but great flavour. A fantastic everyday wine. Or something nice for an occasion. The price is also fantastic!

    Nice rich flavour,fruity and moreish,nice scent upon opening bottle,clean crisp to drink,refreshing and has alot of fruity flavour tones throughout ,nice with meals and sharing with adults at a BBQ,good size bottle,nice label design made it easy to locate In store and the shelf ,would recommend based on the taste and flavour variety

    Okay this is now my new favourite red wine. I’m not usually a big red wine fan but this just goes down so well. The perfect taste and went perfect with my steal, and then some cheeses later. Such an affordable bottle as well which is always a great bonus

    This wine is giving rich dark fruits, cosy winter vibes and girls night charcuterie boards. The blackcurrant and plum flavours are juicy and smooth, while the hints of oak and spice make it feel a little fancy without being intimidating. The tannins are soft, so it’s super easy to drink and doesn’t leave your mouth feeling dry. Definitely would repurchase – a new winter fave!

    A nice wine to enjoy with a meal

    We drank ours with some gourmet burgers and it paired perfectly. Tastes like an expensive red at around more budget price point. Would recommend and buy again! Going to try with blue cheese next. I suggest letting it breathe while you cook dinner then relax and enjoy it together.

    Descent pairing wine

    I have had many wines within this price range and this wine isn’t a stand out but it isn’t a wine I would avoid. It goes great with foods like pasta. Charcuterie. ECT. On its own it tastes average and doesn’t have a lot of depth to it. It would be great to have for a casual date night.

    Delicious and affordable- the perfect pairing!

    This was a really easy-to-drink shiraz at an excellent price point! It was light yet still had a vibrant flavour, perfect for the cooler months. I would definitely recommend this bottle for anyone looking for a delicious red wine at a very affordable price.

    A beautifully balanced Shiraz!

    Such a beautifully balanced Shiraz. This Tamala by Cape Mentelle Shiraz is, in my opinion, one of those reds that is full flavour without feeling too heavy. I picked up notes of Plum, dark berries and a little spice. It has such a smooth finish, which made it easier to come back for another glass.

    What stood out to me the most, was how balance it felt. Rich and warm, but still an easy drink. Its for sure the kind of wine I would enjoy with a meal, or an afternoon platter. I really felt that it had plenty of flavour and definitely one I would purchase again.

    Smooth!!

    I am more of a Shiraz drinker but the TAMALA Cabernet Merlot has changed my mind!
    It has a smooth taste and not too heavy, it paired well with my pasta. Whilst it was a bit dry, I throughly enjoyed it and at it’s price point, it’ll be around for many italian family dinners to come!

    Smooth taste

    This Cabernet Merlot was very easy to drink. A nice smooth red, the taste that paired well with our evening meal. Would also be good for socialising. It came at a great price point too. I would buy this again, it is good value and has a great full flavour!

    Better than basic!

    This wine is genuinely a nice wine paired with a nice meat dish. It isn’t too heavy and not too light, a great in betweener but not going to make a huge statement either. It is a great day to day choice. Nice drop to end the day with! Enjoy!

    Strong tannins wine best with food

    The TAMALA Cabernet Merlot is a very delicious wine. It’s got big flavour and strong tannins but that’s expected from this blend of grapes. I would recommend drinking it with a meal as I find it too heavy to drink on its own. Overall, a really pleasant wine that is enjoyable to drink.

    Fruity,and flavoursome

    This was easy to find in store,nice design.Upon opening it was quite aromatic,very nice fruity flavour, can taste the berries. This went well with spag bol we had for dinner, a nice sweet aftertaste,very rich and flavoursome.i would recommend this due tomorrow it’s definitive flavour and taste,it’s great to share with others

    Smooth, bold and exciting.

    This Shiraz instantly made a statement. We paired the statement with a lamb roast and it complimented the meal so well. Cape Mentelle executed the bold dark fruits with an extra smooth finish and creates a nice warm sensation, perfect for the winter ahead. Strongly recommend this drop and it’s now one of my favourite Shirazes

    Tastes like a more expensive wine

    Tastes like a more expensive wine than what I paid for it. Really happy with the taste, certainly one I would buy again. Have had more expensive cape mentelle wines and this stacks up to the brand quality. Went well with a beef masaman curry. Held up to the spiciness

    Does the job!

    This is an enjoyable wine – it’s not going to make a big statement but for the price point it is tasty.
    It’s quite fruity on the nose with cherry notes.
    Once you have a sip, you’ll see that it’s quite light in the mouth.
    It’s quite tart and earthy with a dry finish.
    At $15 it’s a perfectly acceptable bottle.
